Nico’s Summer 2008 Issue was published in April, and is now being internationally distributed in over 20 countries. Nico’s second issue is 100% bilingual, English and French and comes in three editions (same content, different ads): France, Benelux and worldwide. The magazine was launched in Paris at Galerie Magda Danysz on April 10th in association with Absolut Vodka, a live session from Aloe Blacc from Stones Throw and a mix set by designer Christophe Lemaire. See our picture report here We will keep you informed on our upcoming events in the French capital. Watch this report from Luxembourg based director Fred Neuen. Btw, this is our friend Pascal Monfort (Nike, Yummy, The Shoppings) being interviewed. Monocle was the first to report on our summer issue (see their April Issue). Here’s what others have written: Slanted, Stern.
Since its release party Nico has been on tour: Düsseldorf (exhibition opening of “Radical Advertising” by our contributor and international creative director Hermann Vaske), Milano (Salon Mobili), Hyères (23e Festival de Mode et de Photographie) and in Vienna at the 8Festival. You can still find us in the exhibition “Dysfashional” (til June 08) in the Design Museum in Lausanne (Switzerland), and soon in Barcelona for Bread and Butter Nico is all over Paris, or nearly … a poster campaign in 300 locations helped to promote newsstand sales.
Thanks to our friends from Athenaeum, Nico has gotten much attention in Amsterdam. If you travel to Amsterdam, pay them a visit, the store is amazing, you’ll find the world’s best magazines in this little shop.
